Accreditation:
Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider for continuing pharmacy education and has assigned 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) of continuing pharmacy education credits for participating in this activity. Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event. Please know that if accurate e-Profile information is not provided within 60 days of the event, credit cannot be claimed after that time. The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days. Participants must participate in the activity and complete the course evaluation in its entirety to claim continuing pharmacy education credit.

• Design an appropriate antimicrobial regimen to treat a carbapenem-resistant enterobacterales (CRE) bacteremia when a metallo-β-lactamase is present

The 2025 VSHP Committee on Nominations is pursuing members who wish to get or stay active and involved in VSHP. These candidates should exhibit qualities of leadership, vision and professional awareness that will sustain the enterprising and pioneering spirit that has characterized VSHP.
The offices of President-elect, Treasurer, Board Member at Large, and Technician at Large are included in this election cycle.
Nominees for President-elect, Treasurer, Board Member at Large must be a pharmacist member of VSHP.
Nominees for Technician Board Member at Large must be a technician member of VSHP.
The term of office for the President-elect will be June 2025-June 2026; President from June 2026-June 2027; Immediate Past-President June 2027-June 2028.
Treasurer and Board member at large are 2 year terms from June 2025-June 2027.
Technician Board Member at Large is a one year term from June 2025-June 2026.

Additionally, VSHP is accepting nominations for Regional President-elect for each of the 8 VSHP Regions. (see map).
Region Presidents-elect are 2 year terms from June 2025-June 2026 as president-elect and June 2026-June 2027 as Region president.
All interested VSHP members who would like to self-nominate or nominate a colleague for any VSHP or Regional office are encouraged to do so via email to the VSHP Nominations Chair, c/o Steve Glass, Executive Director (contact@vshp.org) Nominations will be accepted through Friday, April 11, 2025.
Although any member may nominate a pharmacist for VSHP office, VSHP bylaws state that only pharmacist members may vote in the election.
Candidates for state office will be vetted by the VSHP Nominations Committee and ballots will be administered electronically after nominees have accepted and been verified.

Call for Webinar Presenters
VSHP is planning our CE webinar series for 2025 and we're looking for pharmacists, residents and technicians who would like to participate as webinar CE presenters. Honorarium of $100 available.
Presentations can be on a variety topics and are welcome to give presentations that you may have already presented in another venue. This is a great way to become more involved in VSHP and a great opportunity to share your work with colleagues around the state.

Pharmacy Legislative Day
We are excited to partner with the Virginia Pharmacy Association as a host of the annual Pharmacy Legislative Day on Wednesday, January 22, 2025! Because of this partnership, members of VSHP are invited to register for this event at the $25 member rate! Take note the event will be at a different location, if you attended last year. VPhA has moved the event to the VCU Biotech Center at 800 E Leigh Street, Richmond, VA 23298 to accommodate more attendees and shorten the walk to the GA Building.
The last day to register is Friday, January 17, 2025, OR until occupancy is reached!
