Pharmacy Quality Manager Pediatric Acute Care Washington State

This newly created position reports to the Director of Pharmacy and supports the hospital’s medication use functions through promotion of cost-effective utilization, and identification and implementation of best pediatric pharmacy practices and provides direction and leadership to achieve pharmacy department goals and vision.

Required:
Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Supervisory or management experience
Pediatric pharmacy practice
Washington State license
Prefer pediatric hospital pharmacy experience and/or pediatric residency training
Prefer advanced degree in pharmacy;
licensed pharmacy preceptor;
Record of successful cross-disciplinary process coordination
Committee leadership experience
Project leadership

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, from an accrediated college or university
Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in U.S. state or territory Minimum of 1 year post-licensure experience
Knowledge of and use the established principals and ethics of the Pharmacy profession, standards of JCAHO, and the professional standards at KAHC.

Responsibilities:
To serve as a professional Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Service, Kenner Army Health Clinic, Fort Lee, and work under the general supervision of a Pharmacy Section supervisor who establishes policy and objectives governing the work, schedules, shift assisgnments and rotations.
Perform pharmacy work indepenently in accordance with Pharmacy SOPs, local policies and guidelines, professional principles, applicable laws, and quality improvement program requirements.
